In Memoriam

A sweet soul with a loving caring heart. A world without you in it is somehow diminished.

I had a class or two with Monti at Eastfield. She had a sweet smile for everyone.

Monti and I went to church together. She was such a sweet person. Such a loss but a gain in heaven!

I went to church with Monti at Casa View Baptist also. She was always nice to everyone. We used to kid her about her thick hair - she had so much hair - really I was jealous because my hair is so thin it's barely there. She worked for Minyards for many years - she was so smart. I visited her at her mom's house about a month or so before she died. Her funeral at FBC Garland was very crowded - a testimony to her many friends.

I was in youth group with Monti at Casa View Baptist. A real sweetheart. My funny Monti story is taken from Mr. A. T. Vick's trig class. On days when Monti was absent he would look up from the roll book and say "It looks like Mr. Gilbert isn't here today."

Memories
So many great memories...but my favorite is of Mr. Davis' early morning class where he would have us remove everything from our desks except pen and paper and write down everything we heard...which wasn't much at first...then the cars, planes, trains, birds, janitor...I attribute him for my great listening skills...and another class where he would play albums...one in particular was Symphonius...jazzed up symphonies...his favorite was Tchaikovsky symphony #5 in E Minor....still love it to this day because of him...OH and his car we used to call a vacumn cleaner cause it looked like a Hoover! Can't WAIT to see my classmates again...with adult eyes!
