In Memoriam

Date of Death: June, 2007

Add your memorial for Richard Kinney

I met richard in 10 grade in English class, and right off we found we did not like English class. We got over it , great friendship had started for the rest of our lives. He a quite guy that always had time for a friend. Was one of hardest working guys I have known, I bet he is working hard up in the big kingdom. Put in good word for me my friend I miss you , rest we'll.

The name of the store was Worth Food Mart and then it became a Piggly Wiggly if that helps anyone that can confirm more.

I think Richard worked with my brother at a grocery store in Casa Linda. I remember him as a very quite and hard working guy. Unfortunately, I didn't know him very well. I was able to find a link. Hopefully someone who knew him better will leave a personal note: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JBDG-WWT

In Memoriam

I was around Christi for a short time during the creation of the Senior Show, A Midsemester Night's Dream. I found her charming, yet driven and determined. I am new to the website, so I am sorry to hear of her passing, as well as it's nature. So sad, so senseless.
Mark Kuykendall 9/21/2018 11:12:20 AM

Christi was married with two sons in 1989 when she went into the hospital for a routine procedure and was over-anesthetized and pronounced brain dead. Of all the senseless...

My walking home from school buddy in elementary school. Quirky and fun, Christi was way smarter than I, but we had some great adventures as little girls. A typical Christi thing: she gave me a can of Kangeroo Tail soup for my birthday! Unknown 6/14/2013 6:21:23 AM

Christi was a class act. I remember how hard she worked to help us pull off plays. Makeup, costumes, scene props ... she could do it all! Gosh I miss her.
Karen Ekiss-Minton 8/20/2012 9:48:41 PM

Smart, Funny, Warm and Cool! Some of you may remember that Christi was pregnant during high school. (Gasp!) Handled it with perfect aplomb and a little humour. No Small Feat! But that was Christi. No occasion she couldn't rise to - and lift you up with her. We stayed in touch after she moved away. One time she sent me a Candygram! I still have the telegram imploring me not to ever let anything bad happen to someone she loved so much. But something terrible happened to me that year...i lost Christi.

Memories
Jann Pietsch, Linda Boyles and I went to Ft. Worth to the VOE convention. We bought some beer on the way and iced it down in the bathtub of our hotel room. Mrs. Hazelwood knocked on our door and Linda hurried into the bathroom and stayed in there the entire time Mrs. Hazelwood was there. We didn't get caught. Crazy times! Jann and I had typing in Ms. Withrow's class and we would have a pile of paper by our desks all wadded up because of our mistakes. We would say profanities when we messed up and we always laughed when Ms. Withrow would say "Let's listen to the announcements" in a monotone voice.
